Director of Employment Innovation & Workforce Development Primary Responsibilities:
The Director of Employment Innovation & Workforce Development provides strategic leadership to advance ArcMorris's employment initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability, strong cross-sector partnerships, regulatory excellence, and measurable impact for individuals served. This role is responsible for driving funding strategy and long-term sustainability by leveraging public and private funding streams, aligning program design with evolving workforce policies, and positioning ArcMorris competitively within state and federal employment systems, including set-aside networks such as ACCSES and AbilityOne. The Director monitors policy trends, strengthens governmental and funding relationships, and represents the organization in key regional and statewide forums. Serving as a senior external ambassador, the Director cultivates high-value employer and community partnerships across industries, workforce boards, educational institutions, and government agencies. This leader advances inclusive employment initiatives and elevates ArcMorris's reputation as a leader in disability employment and workforce innovation. Internally, the Director partners with executive and program leadership to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role establishes strategic metrics, evaluates employment outcomes, strengthens leadership capacity, and fosters cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality service delivery and sustainable growth. The Director also ensures that all employment initiatives operate in full compliance with federal, state, and contractual requirements, promoting strong quality assurance, documentation standards, audit readiness, and risk mitigation practices.
Director of Employment Innovation & Workforce Development Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (Master's preferred) 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in workforce development, disability employment, or related systems Deep knowledge of WIOA, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid employment services, and workforce funding structures Demonstrated success in funding strategy, grant development, and public-private partnership building Experience navigating Federal and State set-aside programs Background within the IDD service system preferred Prior senior leadership experience preferred Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to operate effectively in a senior, cross-functional leadership environment Benefits include: 100% Employer-Paid Medical, Dental & Vision (single coverage after 90 days) Employer-Paid Life Insurance Supplemental Insurance (disability, accident, critical illness) Legal Insurance (50% employer-covered) Employee Assistance Program (24/7 support) 403(b) Retirement Plan (up to 8% employer contribution after 1 year) Paid Time Off (vacation, sick, personal, holidays) Birthday Day Off (after 4 years of service) Flexible Spending Account (medical & dependent care)
