AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing observations with site contacts and/or supervisors. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and support to authorized personnel and visitors. Support daily operations at a government location by maintaining a visible presence, reporting maintenance or policy concerns, and assisting with de-escalation when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
A New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
