Role Description This Director of Residential and Day Services is a full-time role, based in Tompkins, Tioga, and Cortland counties. The Director will oversee the management, development, and growth of Residential and Day Services Program, including clinical integration of medical and behavioral services. Key responsibilities include driving strategy, developing staff, overseeing operations, maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of inclusion and support. While the role is primarily office and site based, it offers some flexibility for remote work. There is ample leadership and supervisory structure within the program and the agency to help support the success of this role. Qualifications Experience in Human Services senior leadership A strong understanding of supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities (knowledge of OPWDD regulations preferred) Demonstrated supervisory skills, with a track record of effectively leading and managing multi-layered teams Experience in managing a large, 24/7 residential program Proficiency in program management and program development to create, implement, and evaluate innovative services Experience with budgeting and financial oversight to ensure sustainable operations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Bachelor's degree in a related field required; advanced degree in Human Services, Management, or a related field is a plus
