Director of Planning, Zoning and Economic Development

The City of Northwood is accepting applications for the position of Director of Planning, Zoning & Economic Development. The Director of Planning, Zoning & Economic Development under the general direction of the City Administrator for the City of Northwood meets with land developers, architects and engineers, and reviews land use plans, specifications and proposals. The individual in this position is also responsible for issuing orders and notices and enforces notices to ensure compliance with City zoning code; and, conducts public meetings to inform public of land use and zoning codes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economic Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Training and/or experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of land use planning, zoning codes, and economic development practices is required.

Salary:

$90K-$100K annually, with excellent benefits.
