Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced leader to join our team as an Area Director, with Spanish bilingual skills preferred. As the Area Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a leadership role that requires strong relationship management skills, program development expertise, and a passion for working with people with disabilities.
Core Responsibilities:
The Area Director provides operational and strategic leadership for a defined region, overseeing client services, DSP staffing, Lead DSP supervision, and Brokerage relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered service delivery in alignment with Oregon ODDS regulations and company standards. The Area Director maintains oversight of client caseload health, vacancy management, ISP and Service Agreement completion, and documentation accuracy within Axiscare. This position proactively addresses staffing gaps, supports recruitment and backfill efforts, resolves client and employee escalations, and partners cross-functionally with Intake, HR, and Operations to maintain service continuity, compliance, and regional billable hour stability.
Skills:
Strong relationship management skills to build partnerships with stakeholders, including individuals served, families, community organizations, and funding sources Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and understanding their unique needs Strong administrative skills, resource allocation, and reporting Background in social work or related field is preferred Proven ability in program management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to effectively manage a team and promote professional development Time management and task-orientated Attention to detail Team player, self-motivated Organized If you are a motivated leader with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, we encourage you to apply.
