Our services include prevention and screenings, urgent care for minor illness and injuries, chronic disease management, vaccinations, routine physicals, and individual, family, and group behavioral health services, all aligned with university schedules to ensure real-time, equitable access for all students.
Executive Summary:
The Health & Wellness Manger (HWM) is a key leader within the HWC, responsible for overseeing daily operations and advancing a student-centered, whole-person wellness model that supports academic success and campus wellbeing. The role manages business and administrative functions, including workflow efficiency, utilization outcomes, stakeholder communication, policy compliance, and revenue performance. As the primary liaison between the clinic and university leadership, the HWM strengthens collaboration with students, faculty, staff, athletics departments, and campus partners to ensure accessible, high-quality health care. The HWM leads strategic communications, including health promotion initiatives, ensures exceptional service, patient satisfaction, and confidentiality, and drives continuous improvement through data and performance metrics. Benefits:
Part-Time, typically follows university's calendar up to 180 days; additional hours may be available
Salary Range:
TBD per hour, commensurate with experience PTO (to be taken during non-school days)
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BA/BS in public health, health education/promotion, exercise science, communications, or community health
  • 3-5 years of experience in a health care environment
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Smoking cessation facilitator preferred
  • Intrinsic Coaching preferred
  • CHES— Certified Health Education Specialist preferred
  • Additional health and fitness certifications preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following list of duties is not intended to be restrictive nor all- inclusive. The fact that certain duties may not be listed does not limit the assignment of additional and/or other duties. Oversee the HWC clinical operations as well as the business side of the health care facilities including practice profitability, revenue goals, and CORE metrics.
  • Provides daily oversight of non-clinical operations, including scheduling, daily huddles, facilities issues, and stakeholder communication.
  • Maintains and delivers daily engagement, health metrics, and reports, as well as monthly and annual reports on clinic utilization, student outcomes, and billing, by utilizing eTHOS™, the SMART® electronic Knowledge Management System , and any other systems, as required, accurately and promptly.
  • Manage workflow resolution and efficiency, incorporating troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Understand and obtain a working knowledge of clinical standards, scope of services, confidentiality and privacy rules, university and department of public health requirements, and medical provider standards and goals (e.g., HIPAA policies).
  • Maintain security, confidentiality, and data integrity at both the individual and aggregate levels.
  • Function as the clinic's primary liaison with the university and as an integrated member of the university's leadership team, facilitating coordination with administrators, faculty, athletic department, and clinic staff to drive utilization that supports academic outcomes and overall campus wellbeing.
  • Manage and coordinate campaigns, contests, promotional materials, signage, and events to build high levels of utilization.
  • Manages communication to support successful health and academic outcomes, particularly in the areas of chronic disease management (e.g., asthma), medication compliance and adherence, and mental health issues.
  • Oversees training of staff.
  • Ensures excellent customer satisfaction including responding to any patient concerns/questions regarding safety, security, and confidentiality issues.
  • Acts as the spokesperson for the clinic and hosts visitors at the clinic, including leadership for site visits.
  • Attends clinical operations meetings, training, and other job-specific events, as requested and as needed.
  • Oversees policy adherence and compliance.
  • Monitors utilization revenue projections to ensure budget and goals are met.
  • Maintains security, HIPAA-level confidentiality, and data integrity at both the individual and aggregate levels.
  • Creates and conducts formal and informal stakeholder surveys and focus groups to improve the Model and clinical delivery, including scheduling, hours/days of operation, scope of services, etc.
  • Attends meetings, trainings, and other job-specific events, as requested and as needed.

Confidentiality:
Carlow University will execute a Business Associates Agreement (BAA) and a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that shall cover all Patient Health Information (PHI), HIPAA, and FERPA.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
