Public Safety Account Director, Sales Location:
Remote PCTEL is seeking an experienced and professional Account Director to join our Sales team. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for selling PCTEL's Test and Measurement solutions to City, County and State Public Safety Organizations across the United States and Canada. Past experience with Test & Measurement Equipment and LMR Network Management is preferred. The ideal candidate should be able to travel up to 50% per month (within the United States and Canada)
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, and secure business opportunities to drive revenue growth of PCTEL's Test & Measurement Hardware & Software Solutions
Fulfill quarterly and annual sales goals
Develop and implement sales strategies for new and existing account prospects
Initiate activities with customers to drive the business plan and meet sales goals
Develop and present (online and onsite) professional presentations to existing customers and new prospects PCTEL solutions with effective messaging on solution capabilities and value propositions
Attend targeted industry events to prospect for new business, gain knowledge on industry trends, and assess competition
Provide active feedback and information to the organization on industry trends, competition, government regulations, product needs, and growth opportunities
Prospect and follow up on both Sales and Marketing generated leads
Write and coordinate professional customer proposals
Meet and report regularly with management to review/coordinate sales activities and progress to ensure continued focus and success in meeting and exceeding individual orders and revenue targets set by management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing, or 5 years of professional spectrum management, Test & Measurement, or related sales experience in lieu of degree
3+ years of outside direct sales experience with a focus in consultative and solution-oriented sales approaches
Ability to call on the highest levels of decision-makers in a Governmental organization with confidence for the areas represented (e.g., Radio Shop Manager, AHJ, Fire Marshall, Facility/Enterprise Director)
Exceptional communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills
