Job Description:
The Manager of Special Housing is responsible for management of the room assignment processes and enrollment occupancy during non-academic term periods (winter & summer housing), as well as during Commencement & Reunion, and the bridge period between academic terms. The Manager will assist the Assistant Director of Assignments with the day-to-day coordination of room assignment processes within the student housing software system for Residential Life, StarRez, including but not limited to the creation and development of forms associated with the housing selection process.
Job Qualifications Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years relevant residential life and housing assignments experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Competencies Experience working with StarRez housing software preferred but not required. Adept at learning new software programs. Experience and ability to exercise independent judgment. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, student organizations, faculty and staff. Relate successfully in one-on-one and group situations. Manage multiple tasks effectively. Have a working knowledge and understanding of the cultural, social and educational needs of student residential communities. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends during busy cycles such as move in and move out.
