YOUR JOB
As State Director of Texas, you will lead statewide operations to ensure children and families receive the highest quality of care. You'll oversee regional and local directors, drive compliance with Texas regulations and COA standards, and safeguard client safety through strong oversight and swift action. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on guidance—you will shape outcomes, manage growth, and build trusted relationships with Texas' child welfare agencies and community partners. With your leadership, you'll inspire teams to deliver services that align with The Bair Foundation's mission of hope and healing.

Founded in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in 1967, The Bair Foundation is a Christian non-profit ministry serving children and families. We have provided quality care and services to children, youth, and families through a myriad of effective community-based services. Today, The Bair Foundation provides services in 9 states, including Kentucky, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Our programs are child-centered, family-focused, strength-based, and culturally competent, which are making a significant and positive impact on the children and families we serve. WHAT YOU'LL DO TO MAKE AN IMPACT
Lead with Vision
  • Supervise Virginia's regional and local directors, ensuring consistent and effective service delivery. Safeguard Children
  • Act quickly on safety concerns, resolve incidents, and ensure compliance with Virginia regulations and accreditation standards. Drive Performance
  • Monitor statewide outcomes, oversee program quality, and implement improvement plans. Fuel Growth
  • Develop budgets, achieve growth goals, and expand Virginia programs without compromising care. Strengthen Partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with Virginia DSS, legislators, and community partners. Inspire Teams
  • Mentor directors, lead regular statewide meetings, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. Protect Trust
  • Uphold confidentiality, compliance, and The Bair Foundation's model of care across all Virginia programs.

WHAT YOU BRING
(Basic qualifications)
Education:
Doctorate or Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university (Council on Social Work Education) OR a Doctorate/Master's in a related field such as sociology, psychology, special education, or counseling
Experience:
Casework experience with children and families (minimum 3-4 years depending on degree)
Leadership:
At least 1 year of experience as an administrator or supervisor of casework services
Other:
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
