Job Description

Minimum starting salary is $135,000.00 annually, depending on qualifications The City of Waco has retained SGR to assist in the recruitment for the Assistant Director of Public Works position. Visit the SGR Website for more information and to apply. Overview Are you an experienced public works leader who can manage complex infrastructure operations and drive organizational improvement? We are seeking an exceptional, hands-on leader who is: Experienced in public works operations, particularly utilities and maintenance Skilled at improving systems, processes, and efficiency Comfortable leading large teams and working directly with frontline staff
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field 5 years of progressive leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Driver's License Preferred:
Experience in public works, utilities, or infrastructure maintenance Professional Engineer License Strong background in contract management Experience with operational modernization or technology systems
