JOB SUMMARY
The Housing Director provides leadership and oversight for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County's family housing programs. The primary focus of this position is administering TANF-funded housing assistance in partnership with the Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS), while also overseeing additional housing programs funded through Home ARP, Continuum of Care (CoC), Office of Homeless Services, attainable housing grants, transitional housing properties, and private donor contributions. This position is responsible for program administration, staff supervision, eligibility determination, financial management, grant compliance, reporting, community partnerships, and housing operations. The Housing Director works closely with community stakeholders to increase housing stability and access for families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities) Program Management & Compliance Lead and oversee all family housing assistance programs, with TANF-funded housing assistance serving as the primary program area. Maintain strong partnerships with DWS, housing providers, landlords, and community agencies. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and private funding requirements. Oversee participant eligibility determination, documentation, and program integrity. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls that support effective program operations. Prepare for audits, monitoring visits, and compliance reviews. Staff Supervision & Leadership Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate housing program staff. Establish performance expectations and support professional development. Ensure accurate case management, record keeping, and service delivery. Financial Management, Reporting & Grants Manage program budgets, expenditures, reimbursements, and funding allocations. Prepare and submit required financial and programmatic reports. Monitor program outcomes and funding utilization to ensure contract goals are achieved. Assist with grant applications, renewals, and funding opportunities. Housing Operations & Community Partnerships Oversee grant-funded transitional housing properties, including two fourplex housing units. Develop and maintain relationships with landlords, housing providers, government agencies, and community partners. Participate in community coalitions and collaborative efforts addressing family homelessness and housing stability. Support efforts to expand housing opportunities and resources for families. Data & Program Outcomes Maintain accurate program records and performance data. Utilize HMIS and other reporting systems as required. Track, analyze, and report program outcomes to support continuous improvement and future funding opportunities. Other Duties Perform other related duties as assigned.
