Description:
Voices Against Violence works to empower survivors, educate communities, and eliminate sexual and domestic violence and stalking through direct service, education, and systems change. Working with the Emergency Services Director, the Voices Against Violence Director is responsible for the overall management of the Voices Against Violence program, fund development, personnel supervision, community relations, financial management and programming and represents CVOEO within our communities. Voices Against Violence has been providing services to survivors of domestic & sexual violence in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties since it was founded in 1980. This leadership role provides strategic direction and oversees the administration and operation of all programs and services of Voices Against Violence. The position provides leadership to the local Advisory Council to ensure growth and long-term sustainability of Voices Against Violence. As a primary Representative of Voices Against Violence you will represent Voices Against Violence by working closely with a broad range of community and statewide organizations, government agencies, survivors and human services providers. As a result of the wide area of representation, travel will be required.

Requirements:
Master's degree in human services area, (i.e. Social Work, Counseling, Social Work Administration. Bachelor's degree with appropriate experience and training may be considered. At least 5 to 7 years' experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration. Experience in trauma informed work. Must be able to lead through both strong people and strong operations skills. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills required, bilingual abilities are a plus. A highly motivated and responsible individual with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a non-judgmental, positive and competent manner. Must be willing to work within the philosophy of the program and agency. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners. Experience in a crisis prevention program, specially working in the area of domestic violence preferred. Excellent interpersonal, observational, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
