Job Description
This is a Utilities Specialist for the City of Cheney Light Department and Public Works Department. It is a full-time, union represented position. This position assists in the daily operation of the Light and Public Works Departments and requires completing numerous daily tasks including complex permitting, dispatch, utility services, purchasing, payables, one calls, inventory, work orders, quotes, invoices, billing, filing, records management, and cash work along with a wide variety of regular and recurring procedures. This Utilities Specialist requires in depth knowledge of City policies, procedures, specialized computer programs, effective time management, and strong customer service skills with a high degree of accuracy in performing all duties, and coordinates with other city departments to optimize office working conditions and procedures.
