Purchasing Assistant with Long Term Growth Norwalk, CA Job Details Full-time $19 - $21 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Supplier management Administrative experience Purchasing Clerical experience Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement team. This role is responsible for assisting with vendor communication, order processing, and inventory coordination. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese to effectively communicate with vendors Key Responsibilities Assist in placing purchase orders and tracking order status Communicate with domestic regarding pricing, availability, and lead times Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods Maintain accurate purchasing records, including pricing, order history, and vendor information Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, or product quality Support cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings Work cross-functionally with warehouse, sales, and operations teams Assist in scheduling appointments and meetings Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate personnel Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed Qualifications Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (spoken preferred) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
