About West Coast Magnetics West Coast Magnetics is a quality-driven manufacturer committed to meeting customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements through the continual improvement of our Quality Management System. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate I to join our growing team in Stockton, CA. Role Overview The Purchasing Associate I is responsible for quoting accurate pricing and delivery on materials, processing orders and work orders, expediting materials, managing vendor packing slips, and maintaining thorough and accurate purchasing records. Key Responsibilities Contact vendors to obtain competitive quotes and determine the most favorable pricing and availability. Place and expedite purchase orders as authorized by the Purchasing Manager. Create accurate quote, price, and delivery spreadsheets. Process RMA, DMR, MRD, and MRP workflows. Accurately process WCM and vendor packing slips. Edit and manage work orders with precision. Resolve material receipt discrepancies and related issues. Maintain organized filing of purchasing history and records. Produce clear, accurate paperwork including POs, DMRs, and packing slips. Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality Control, Accounting, and Production teams. Follow all WCM procedures and work instructions. Assist in training team members on purchasing processes as needed. Minimum Requirements One (1) year of purchasing experience required. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Office software. Ability to produce quick, accurate, and precise paperwork and documentation. Familiarity with ERP system software for purchasing processes (or ability to learn quickly). Understanding of WCM processes or the ability to rapidly learn them. Proven ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. What We Offer Stable, full-time employment with a reputable manufacturer.
