This role assists with creating purchase orders, negotiating pricing, monitoring product trends, and supporting merchandising efforts for company and customer-specific programs. The Buyer works closely with vendors, warehouse teams, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery, product availability, and overall purchasing efficiency. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, computer literate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects and deadlines. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to build strong vendor relationships while supporting purchasing and merchandising operations. Responsibilities Assist in creating new purchase orders and re-orders Communicate and follow up with vendors regarding orders, pricing, and delivery schedules Support sourcing and merchandising efforts for the company and specific customers Coordinate import-related activities and negotiate with vendors and suppliers Assist with special projects and additional tasks as needed Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstock, shortages, and product obsolescence Support product launches, promotions, and assortment changes Ability to set clear goals, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable for results. Skilled at motivating teams, resolving conflicts, and driving execution in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing, buying, administrative support, merchandising, or customer service preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow up with vendors and maintain professional relationships Basic negotiation and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of purchasing procedures and inventory management is a plus Experience with imports or international vendors preferred Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word Attention to detail and accuracy with orders and data entry
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
