We are searching for a capable, hard-working team member to fill a Purchasing Associate position at our Denver location.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for purchasing various products in order to provide for our customers needs.. You will be answering phone calls with vendors and our sales team in regard to availability of product. You will manage new inquiries every day; it is a fast-paced environment where you often will be juggling several things at once. Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments within the company and our products and services. Assist sales, dispatch, branch managers regarding product availability. Process purchase orders generated by the purchasing team. As a Purchasing Assistant, you must be friendly, knowledgeable, and service-oriented. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS PRE-HIRE DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECK.
The compensation for this position starts at $70,000 - $80,000 annually depending on experience. We offer medical for our employees, 7 Paid Holidays, 1 Floating Holiday, matching 401k contributions, and discounts. There are also opportunities for bonuses.
Qualifications:
Strong organization and communication skills. 2 years construction industry experience preferred. High school degree or equivalent. Agility (POS) is a major plus, but not required. Previous purchasing experience. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Ability to identify company needs, provide profitable solutions. The ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.

Have, or quickly develop, a comprehensive knowledge of product lines. Be capable of working in a fast paced, highly accurate and customer focused position with high attention to detail and speed. Know basic computer processes (use of Microsoft Excel and Word). Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems. Possess the drive to assist team members with other tasks as required. Have enthusiasm for and responsibility to the customer and your teammates. Take pride and ownership in everything you do. Successful multi-tasker. Have a drive to improve and grow. Be persistent. Possess superior organizational and time management skills.
