General Job Summary:
The Assistant Buyer is a full-time, on-site position in our Jupiter, FL office. The Assistant Buyer will perform day-to-day purchase activities involving placing orders for procuring goods and services for the Manufacturing Operations Engineering team.
Essential Job Functions:
Works directly with Manufacturing Operations Engineers for processing of requisitions. Reviews requisitions for formal RFQ processing and submittal to suppliers. Works with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as delivery schedules. Obtain vendor information and help set up new vendors in compliance with government requirements. Prepare purchase orders using Costpoint. Obtains certifications of delivery and conducts check against order. Communicate purchase order/project status with internal customers. Maintain required procurement records associated with CPSR. Coordinate with Manufacturing Operations Engineers for Receiving & QC process to support accounts payable. Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements. Other job duties as assigned.
