Company Profile:
Wagler & Associates is a well-known General Contracting company within the Tri-State area. We are currently looking to add to our team. Our Purchasers are asked to represent Wagler & Associates in a way that results in satisfied customers and completed projects on time and within budget. At Wagler & Associates we are focused on working as a group in a professional capacity while still maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Negotiate with multiple suppliers to get the best pricing and service for materials needed. Manage suppliers relationships to minimize material delays and issues. Obtain quotations from vendors that are needed by the estimating department for new project estimates. Issue purchase orders for all products and services using Quickbooks software. Create material trackers to monitor use of materials compared to estimated totals. Coordinate jobsite material requests and deliveries with project managers. Research new materials, vendors, and service providers.Qualifications:
Experience with construction materials and building practices preferred. Ability to do accurate material takeoffs using CAD or blueprints a plus. Good negotiating and communication skills. A working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Excel and Word. Knowledge of QuickBooks program a plus. Ability to work in an office environment with long periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen. Unloading shipments using a forklift and occasionally lifting items up to 50 lbs.
