Job Description

The Purchasing Assistant role supports day‑to‑day procurement and inventory activities within a manufacturing and industrial equipment environment. This position focuses on ordering spare parts, maintaining accurate purchasing records, coordinating with vendors, and supporting internal teams to ensure parts availability for customer orders, service needs, and production requirements.

This is a fully onsite role, working Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and process purchase orders for spare parts, consumables, and related materialsCommunicate with vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, and delivery statusTrack open purchase orders and follow up on late or incomplete shipmentsMaintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor recordsSupport spare parts inventory management, including usage tracking and replenishmentCoordinate with internal teams (service, production, sales, and operations) to meet parts requirementsAssist with receiving documentation, invoice matching, and issue resolutionEnter purchasing and inventory transactions into the accounting systemSupport continuous improvement efforts related to purchasing and parts processesRequired Qualifications1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative support (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred)Strong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesComfortable communicating with vendors and internal stakeholdersProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent onsite scheduleNice to Have (Preferred)Experience using QuickBooks Desktop for purchasing, inventory, or accounting tasksFamiliarity with spare parts, mechanical components, or industrial productsPrior experience supporting manufacturing, equipment service, or technical operations

Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
