Job Description

Fine Woods Shop Assistant Duties :
Planning, jointing, crosscutting, and ripping material for customers. Replenish bin lumber from bulk inventory. Operating forklift to fill customer order. Answering phones and assisting customers with lumber. Prep, stage and load trucks for delivery. Maintaining cleanliness of shop and store. Informing Outlet Manager when repairs are needed for equipment.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate must possess the ability to work well with others and treat customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Excellent math skills and ability to calculate board footage. Must have good communication and leadership skills. A good attendance record is necessary and is to be maintained. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Frank Miller Forklift license. Ability to learn species/grades of lumber and learn woodworking equipment.
