Wine & Craft Beer Associate / Buyer Assistant Confidential Louisville, KY Job Details Full-time From $44,675.64 a year 1 day ago Qualifications In-person customer service Moving Merchandising display arrangement Retail store product knowledge Purchasing Craft beer experience Grocery store Full Job Description We are opening a new wine and spirits store and are looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused team member who has a strong understanding of wine and craft beer. This person will help with ordering, stocking, merchandising, customer recommendations, and day-to-day store operations. The ideal candidate enjoys talking with customers, knows how to make thoughtful product suggestions, and understands trends in wine and craft beer.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers with wine and craft beer selections Help order product and maintain proper inventory levels Stock shelves, rotate product, and keep displays full and organized Build attractive displays and help highlight featured products Stay informed on new products, seasonal items, and customer favorites Help receive deliveries and check product for accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales floor Support store leadership with daily operations as needed Follow all alcohol sales laws, ID-checking procedures, and company policies
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of wine and craft beer Previous liquor store, wine shop, grocery, bar, restaurant, or beverage sales experience preferred Comfortable helping customers and making product recommendations Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Able to lift, carry, stock, and move cases as needed Must meet all legal requirements to sell alcohol in Kentucky Weekend and evening availability preferred
