Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and supply chain operations in Kentwood, MI. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate purchasing data, updating pricing information, monitoring vendor deliveries, and providing excellent communication with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain purchasing, pricing, and vendor information in the ERP system. Update product and supplier pricing as needed. Follow up with vendors regarding late shipments and delivery schedules. Communicate professionally with suppliers, customers, and internal departments. Verify the accuracy of purchasing data and resolve discrepancies. Assist the purchasing team with administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience within a manufacturing environment highly preferred. Prior purchasing, administrative, customer service, or manufacturing experience is a plus. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. Proficiency with 10-key numeric entry. Good typing and computer skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday Typical hours are 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, interacting with vendors, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. TP123
Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
