Job Description

Job Overview We're looking for someone to handle purchasing and support our office staff. The job involves ordering materials, working with vendors, and helping with day-to-day office tasks to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Order raw materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) based on shop needs and job requirements Work with vendors on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines Enter and route jobs in the system to support the shop foreman and production flow Assist the office manager with filing orders, drawings, and maintaining organized records Help track purchase orders, job status, and material deliveries Coordinate between the office and shop to keep jobs moving on schedule Update and maintain accurate information in company systems (orders, materials, vendors) Support general office tasks as needed to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly Qualifications Experience in purchasing, office support, or a manufacturing environment preferred Familiarity with metal materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) is a plus Experience with JobBOSS² (ERP system) strongly preferred Basic understanding of CNC and manual machining processes (mills, lathes, etc.) Comfortable working with spreadsheets and computer-based systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work with both office staff and shop personnel Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep track of orders and materials Reliable and able to follow through on tasks with minimal supervision
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
