Purchasing & Logistics Assistant (Part-Time)About Pastry Chef's Boutique Pastry Chef's Boutique is a leading importer and distributor of premium pastry, chocolate, bakery, hospitality, and foodservice products. Since 2015, we have proudly served thousands of professional customers across the United States, including pastry chefs, chocolatiers, bakeries, luxury hotels, restaurants, culinary schools, and catering companies. We work with suppliers throughout the United States and Europe, bringing innovative and high-quality products to the professional culinary industry. Position Overview We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Assistant to support our purchasing and operations team. This role focuses primarily on tracking supplier orders, monitoring deliveries, following up on shipments, and ensuring accurate communication between suppliers and our internal teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or operations. Responsibilities Track purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers Follow up on order confirmations and expected delivery dates Request and maintain tracking information for incoming shipments Monitor drop-ship orders and delivery status Update spreadsheets and internal records Communicate shipment updates to customer service and operations teams Follow up on delayed shipments and backorders Maintain organized supplier records and documentation Assist with general administrative tasks related to purchasing and logistics Qualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written communication skills Comfortable working with Excel, Google Sheets, and email Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn Previous administrative, customer service, purchasing, or logistics experience is a plus but not required Compensation & Schedule Part-Time Position 20-25 hours per week Why Join Us?
