Job Description

Compensation:
$18/hr
Benefits:
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.
Overview:
The Sorter & Processer is part of the Processing & Distribution Center team of Housing Works Thrift Shop working closely with the Department Managers to ensure the enterprise as a whole is successful. The Sorter & Processor focuses mainly on processing goods including curating shipments & pricing goods
Responsibilities:
Report on daily productivity totals and tasks. Identify and distribute incoming donations for processing and curation including In-Kind and corporate donations. Provide sellable merchandise of apparel, accessories and footwear for the departments from donated goods that meet Housing Works standards as well as monthly and yearly targets. Assists with the processing and pricing of merchandise in alignment with the price matrix and pricing philosophy. Curates goods for themed events and seasonally appropriate sales and/or promotions. Assists with the hanging, tagging, pricing and packing of goods. Ensures that shop shipments are accurate and on time in compliance with Data Integrity Policies & Procedures. Maintain an orderly, clean and productive work area. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Housing Works policies and procedures and ensuring that all organizational deadlines and directives are met. Excellent internal communication with departments and peers in a timely manner in order to facilitate goods for the needs of the business.
Requirements:
