Job Description

To contribute to BGSU's Purchasing Department through the application of procurement-related best practices.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Communication Critical Thinking Professionalism Assist with reviewing existing contracts and working with departments on renewal Assist with acquiring and reviewing "terms and conditions" in contracts Provide administrative support to Purchasing staff Entry of data into several different databases Prepare and maintain business documents Assist with RFPs, Bid Tabulations, Vendor Communications Assist with organizational maintenance of the office Communicate with other University personnel and outside vendors Occasionally responsible for delivery of documents to other campus offices Misc. duties as assigned Experienced and proficient in: MS Excel and MS Word Prefer Supply Chain major with an interest in Public Sector Procurement Must be dependable, with a good work history Must possess a high level of accuracy in work assignments Ability to work independently with little to no supervision at times Must be able to work during the summer and other breaks (Flexible schedules for breaks can be accommodated upon approval of supervisor) Seeking a professional and focused student who can add value to the Department The job is in the Purchasing Office, located in the Huntington Building 1851 N. Research Drive, Bowling Green, OH 43403. Transportation is required - NO shuttle service is available
