- Residential Construction Position Overview Our Buyer or Purchasing Agent is responsible for overseeing divisional purchasing by managing supplier bidding, awarding, and managing trade contracts for our Residential Construction group.
Key Responsibilities Oversee Bid Invitations; communicating award decisions and rejections
Negotiate Price Adjustments, Bid Discrepancies and Analysis
Evaluation costs and profit potential
assist in managing Supplier and Contract Data, Rebate programs, model discounts, etc...
Provide scope and contract updates efficiently
Communicate with Project Management, Construction, and Sales/Design teams
work with Contracts to ensure all change orders are executed
Manage and Resolve conflicts with Trade Partners Qualifications 3+ years as a Buyer or Purchasing Agent
Strong knowledge of ground up construction for homebuilding Excellent project scheduling skills to manage timelines effectively.
Experience in vendor management and Bid Process
Strong communication skills to manage teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, PPT, Excel
