  • $26 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Administrative experience Desktop applications Productivity software Manufacturing Technical Proficiency Time management Office experience Full Job Description Purchasing and Admin Assistant The primary objective of the Purchasing Assistant position is to support the procurement of the materials needed for the production of a finished product with the shortest lead time, highest quality, and lowest price.
Other objectives include, but are not limited to continuous process improvement activities and collaboration with other departments to create a safe and secure workplace. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. Responsibilities Communicate quote requests and purchase order follow-ups with vendors. Purchasing
  • Maintain a dashboard for the procurement of all supplies and/or raw materials that may be used in the production process. Create and submit purchase orders. Standard work
  • Create standard work documentation for the purchasing dept which will be used for cross training. Inventory Valuation
  • improve or recreate a valuation form that can be used to monitor changes in pricing, vendor, and to capture monthly value of inventory for accounting. Inventory Management
  • Create tools to monitor and maintain inventory turn and safety stock levels. Periodic cycle counts. Basic admin functions which support staff and assist customers. Logistics
  • work with suppliers, production, and shipping dept to set expectations that align with our production schedule. Frequent communication with vendors as well as other members of the Operations team. Expectations Proactive problem solving. Work with a sense of urgency. Requirements:
Production Experience Preferred Past Inventory and Purchasing Experience Preferred Familiarity with Kanban systems and/or Lean manufacturing is a plus Proven success in office administration Superb written and verbal communication skills Strong time-management and multitasking abilities Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems
