Job Description
Surf Style Retail Management, Inc. (Surf Style) is the leading chain of beachwear, souvenir, gourmet market and liquor retail stores in the Southeastern United States. Job Summary:
The Assistant Buyer candidate must be self-motivated, able to work quickly under pressure, problem solve and possess strong organizational skills. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, hardworking, and prepared to join our team for the long haul.Responsibilities:
Selection of product, communicating with vendors, and assortment planning and development for assigned product category. Support and compile data as needed to aid in developing seasonal strategies and financial targets. Attend meetings between Buying and Planning. Negotiate all facets of product purchase, terms, price, quantities, etc. Exhibit professional conduct in all business relationships, actions, and communications. Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Proficient PC skills and ability to work with computer applications and programs such as MS Excel and Word. Experience in product development is a plus. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct analysis, solve problems and make decisions. Able to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong sense of style and ability to carry out a strategic vision. Must be able to work 44 hours a week. Bachelor's Degree.Benefits:
