Job Description

Texas Critical Systems is a mechanical and plumbing contractor established in May of 2017. Our focus is in technical mechanical and plumbing projects for clients such as Samsung, University of Texas, . We are looking for Purchasing Assistant to support the execution of projects for multiple clients. Job Summary The Purchasing Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the purchasing department. This role assists with entering purchase orders, maintaining spreadsheets and ensuring accurate documentation to support efficient procurement operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and entry and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Maintain and update purchasing files.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding order status, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Verify order details and documentation for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing needs are met.
  • Work with accounting when there are discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
  • Prepare purchasing reports, spreadsheets, and documentation.
  • File and organize procurement documents and contracts.
  • Support the purchasing manager with administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Other Duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma and some experience with supply chain, or related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Must have willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Good communication and vendor coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Experience working in procurement, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing procedures and inventory management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Work Environment Office-based role with regular computer and administrative work. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Other duties as assigned. Ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and lift 25 pounds Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug test Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This is a full time position based in Bastrop, Texas. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
