- Based in the Headquarters of Safran USA (Irving, Texas), the VIE Indirect Purchasing Americas will work directly with the VP Indirect Purchasing and support the Indirect Purchasing Americas team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assistance to Commodity Manager- Support the Commodity Manager in managing assigned indirect commodities.
- Help prepare and launch requests for quotation (RFQs): data collection, specification consolidation, communication with suppliers.
- Assist in analyzing supplier offers (price comparisons, TCO analysis, ...) and preparing negotiation files.
- Contribute to supplier performance monitoring: KPI updates, on time delivery and service level follow up, escalation of issues.
- Support implementation and follow up of corporate contracts (communication to internal customers, monitoring of usage and compliance).
- Participate in market intelligence activities (benchmarking, identification of new suppliers, monitoring of trends and risks). 2. Purchasing Campaigns
- Manage and execute assigned purchasing campaigns for various indirect domains (capital equipment, IT, transportation, services, etc.), under supervision.
- Coordinate with internal customers across Safran companies in the Americas to consolidate needs and specifications.
- Support cost reduction initiatives.
- Contribute to documentation and reporting of achieved savings versus targets. 3. Internal Control & Compliance
- Support the team during internal control campaigns.
- Help ensure that purchasing activities are in line with Safran policies, procedures, internal control requirements and ethical standards.
- Contribute to improving compliance awareness within internal stakeholders. 4. Budget & Reporting Support
- Assist the management team in budget preparation (data consolidation, variance analysis, preparation of standard templates, billing customers and its follow up).
- Help maintain regular reporting on purchasing performance: savings, contract coverage, supplier base, KPIs. 5. Continuous Improvement & Tools
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects within Indirect Purchasing (process optimization, best practice sharing).
- Support the deployment and proper use of purchasing tools and systems (ERP, purchasing platforms, reporting tools).
- Propose improvements to tools and processes to support purchasing maturity and operational excellence. 6. Collaboration & Internal Customer Support
- Work closely with internal customers, the Commodity Manager, the VP and other Safran entities in the Americas.
- Help collect and understand internal customer requirements and provide purchasing support accordingly.
- Participate in cross functional projects involving purchasing when required

- A valid driver's license is recommended.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
- First experience (internship, apprenticeship, or junior role) in purchasing, supply chain, or project management is a plus.
Languages:
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Spanish optional;
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Strong interest in procurement and supply chain.
- Good understanding of basic purchasing principles (RFQ, negotiation, contracts) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) - ability to create reports and presentations.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus. Behavioral Competencies / Compétences comportementales
