JOB SUMMARY
Working closely with the Manager Pre Cert & Imaging, utilizes EMR to coordinate inbound and outbound referrals for CARTI providers and services. Ensures appropriate medical records are provided with outbound and inbound referral order/request, based on agreed upon policy. When documents are not provided, conduct the necessary follow-ups to obtain documents. Registers patient in Centricity (if needed) and contacts patient to schedule appointment with based on agreed upon scheduling policy by provider. Compiles new patient packet imaging instruction sheet and sends to new patients when applicable and notifies referring provider of patient appointment
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Serves as the one of the primary persons for scheduling new Imaging appointments. Ensures all appropriate clinical records are obtained prior to patient appointment Ensures all necessary referral orders are obtain prior to scheduling appointment Contacts patient to schedule appointment Responds to referring provider regarding the status of the patient's appointment in a timely manner Competent in administrative functions of Electronic Medical Records Performs medical receptionist duties as necessary for the CRO. Answers telephone, screens call, takes messages, and provides information. Schedule referring and future physician appointments as requested by the physician. This includes sending the required records for the referring appointments. Responsible for communicating to the PSS scheduling teams and the clinical teams of their assigned physician when their referred patient is scheduled and contacted. Responsible for documenting all contact/scheduling attempts in the EMR and Salesforce. Responsible for closing all salesforce accounts in a timely manner as specified with a manager. Process EMR messages and worklist queues.

High school diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and
ABILITIES
Minimum of two years' experience working in a medical office setting Experience scheduling patient appointments Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Strong knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of gathering, interpreting and reporting insurance information Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence Basic computer and office equipment skills Technical skills and knowledge to properly schedule appointments and maintain patient records. Time management and organizational skills
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Must interact and communicate well both verbally and in written form. Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
