Surgery Scheduler About OrthoArizona:

Our multi-specialty orthopedic clinics have additional convenient services such as Pain Management, Physical & Hand Therapy, Athletic Performance, X-ray and MRI, InstantOrtho™ a Walk in Clinic for Urgent Orthopedic Conditions and more! We are looking for employees ho want to work for a fast-growing organization with a strong reputation for providing comprehensive high quality musculoskeletal care. We need professionals who share our vision and he commitment to see it through. As a Surgery Scheduler with OrthoArizona, you will get to: Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule surgeries. Communicate necessary information to patients, staff, and physicians. Verify necessary information and records information in patient's medical record. Coordinate necessary equipment, surgical assists, and anesthesia relative to surgeries. Maintain and updates physician's calendars. Answer telephone, screens calls, clears voicemail, returns patient calls in a timely manner. Answer questions regarding patient's upcoming surgeries. Update patient information. Prepare surgical packet materials. Assist in training and orienting of new staff.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understand/Perform training on practice management software. Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1-year experience of medical scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience surgery scheduling.
