Job Description

Job Description The Front Desk Coordinator at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a welcoming, energetic, and professional environment. This role is essential to the success of clinic operations, supporting both administrative and patient care coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting while delivering exceptional patient experiences. This position may be based at one of our Chandler locations depending on clinic needs. Responsibilities Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification, and handle insurance claims processing Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive and professional first impression Guide patients through check-in and check-out processes efficiently Process insurance claims and assist with medical billing, including CPT and
ICD-9/10
coding support Collect co-pays, balances, and manage daily financial transactions Maintain accurate and compliant patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations Manage multi-line phone systems, answering and directing calls professionally Maintain organized filing systems and ensure confidentiality of all patient information Assist with general administrative duties to support clinic operations Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) Collect and review patient documentation, including medical histories, consent forms, and care plans, maintaining meticulous records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, answering inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately Assist with medical billing processes, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims submission Maintain organized medical records and files through efficient filing systems while ensuring data security and confidentiality Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical information, and facilitating smooth office operations Maintain Clinic expectations of supplies, PT needs, ordering, upkeep of cleanliness of clinic Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a medical or dental front office setting required Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred; Dentrix a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Office 365, and general computer skills (including 10-key) Understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and insurance processes Excellent customer service skills with strong phone and interpersonal communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinic environment Bilingual abilities (Vietnamese, Mandarin, or Korean) are highly desirable Team-oriented with a positive, energetic attitude Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off
Compensation Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
