Job Description

Bilingual Surgery Scheduler Job Description Are you looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact on patient care and build trusted relationships with patients? Join the team at True Precision Medical as a Surgery Scheduler . This essential position will ensure that procedures are scheduled smoothly, patients feel prepared and informed, and coordination between healthcare teams is seamless. As a key part of our growing healthcare organization, you'll help optimize procedure schedules and enhance the overall patient experience before and after procedures. In addition to surgery scheduling, this role includes front office support to keep daily operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Surgery Coordination :
Schedule surgeries based on physician availability, operating room time, and patient needs to maximize efficiency and patient care.
Surgery Prior Authorization :
Coordinate with insurance providers to secure prior authorization for surgeries, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained in advance.
Patient Communication & Relationship Building :
Serve as a reassuring point of contact for patients, providing clear, detailed instructions about pre- and post-surgical care, answering questions, and building trust and confidence.
Record Management :
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all essential details are documented in the EMR system for streamlined access and communication.
Financial Conversations :
Discuss financial responsibilities with patients, explaining costs and arranging payment plans as needed with compassion and clarity.
Surgery Center Liaison :
Coordinate schedules with the surgery center to ensure all logistics align smoothly for each procedure.
Qualifications Experience :
At least 1 year of experience in surgical scheduling (2+ years preferred). Familiarity with medical terminology, surgical procedures, and EMR systems is essential. Bilingual in
Spanish and English :
Ability to communicate fluently in both languages to better serve our diverse patient base.
Communication Skills :
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide detailed instructions and work closely with both patients and medical staff.
Organizational Skills :
Strong time-management skills with experience handling multiple schedules in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency :
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with electronic medical records (eCW or similar systems).
Insurance Knowledge :
