Medical Imaging Scheduler Location:

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Overview The Medical Imaging Scheduler supports a high-volume radiology department by coordinating patient appointments, managing inbound and outbound calls, and facilitating imaging services across multiple modalities. This role is essential to improving patient access, maintaining accurate scheduling, and supporting revenue cycle processes through precise registration, insurance verification, and authorization workflows. Responsibilities Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls related to radiology scheduling Schedule imaging appointments across modalities including X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and DEXA Manage work queues and incoming orders to ensure timely scheduling Perform patient registration, insurance verification, and authorization processing Make outbound calls to reduce scheduling backlogs and improve access to care Provide patients with preparation instructions and collect required documentation Request prior imaging and coordinate records or CD distribution Respond to patient inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate concerns as appropriate Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record systems Collaborate with technologists, providers, and leadership to support workflow efficiency and reduce call abandonment Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience At least 6 months of experience in a radiology or medical imaging environment Minimum 1 year of experience in medical scheduling, patient access, or a call-center setting Experience managing high-volume call and scheduling workflows Working knowledge of insurance verification, authorization, and patient registration Familiarity with medical terminology and common imaging procedures Ability to manage electronic work queues, orders, and EHR systems Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Pay Details:
