Job Description

Madera Community Hospital Located in the heart of Central California, Madera Community Hospital is a General Acute Care, private, not-for-profit hospital dedicated to improving and maintaining the health and wellness of residents throughout the Central Valley. Position Summary:
Works under the supervision of the Manager of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Coordinator of Surgery. Charged with scheduling elective surgical procedures with responsibility to assure continuity of scheduling and proper utilization of surgery time. Maintains patient logs and monthly statistics. Performs all clerical duties as assigned and completes timekeeping records to be submitted for the Director's approval. Can be required to assist in documenting electronic patient charges.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent with completion of medical terminology course. College course work in Medical Office technology preferred. Two years previous clerical experience, prefer operating room or medical background. Computer skills
Microsoft:
Excel, Word and Outlook required. Must be able to plan and problem solve effectively. Must possess strong written and verbal and guest relations skills. Requires Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate. .
