About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Accountant to manage our core financial cycles and daily business operations. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and operational efficiency. You will have a high degree of autonomy in managing your workflow and will play a critical role in supporting our internal infrastructure.
This position offers a unique balance of technical accounting and general business operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workday and wants to be a central part of a streamlined, professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
Full-Cycle Accounting:
Own Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and vendor management.Payroll & Benefits:
Execute semi-monthly payroll and assist with employee benefits administration.Monthly Close:
Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Quarterly Financial Packages:
Help prepare quarterly reporting packagesCompliance:
Manage expense report auditing and ensure all financial records are organized and audit-ready. Operations & Office ManagementOffice Stewardship:
Ensure our workspace remains a productive and welcoming environment, managing supplies, vendor relations, and mail.Team Coordination:
Support the leadership team with scheduling, team-building events, and internal communications.People Ops:
Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and access to systems.General Support:
Act as a "generalist" to help solve daily operational challenges as they arise. Requirements QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance OR Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant bookkeeping/operations experience.Experience:
1-4 years of experience in accountingTechnical Skills:
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting ERP. Solid Excel skills (pivots, lookups, and data organization). Familiarity with modern tools (e.g., Gusto, Bill.com, Slack).Attributes:
