The Maintenance Buyer also develops and maintains the accuracy of the ERP system for supplier records to include contracted pricing, part number cross-reference, contact information, shipping data and all other pertinent details. Additionally, we will work directly with the Maintenance Planner, Storeroom Clerk, and Technician to ensure all purchasing needs are met. Will manage and maintain supplier base to ensure most cost-effective purchases are made. The Maintenance Buyer will also support the manufacturing effort by administering supplier agreements, maintenance contracts, or as otherwise identified by the Maintenance Planner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Support procurement activity for the Maintenance Department.
  • Receive purchase requisitions and issue necessary non-stock Purchase Orders.
  • Support monthly PM schedule with recurring order requirements
  • Maintain ERP system-issue stock purchase orders as per min/max
  • Using (Mpulse) ERP systems to retrieve PO requests and place orders effectively.
  • Track Purchase orders against monthly budget and report as required
  • Vendor interaction to schedule/track delivery of parts and services
  • Weekly audit vendor invoices, to ensure the correct spending is accurate
  • Data collection, analysis, and recommendations, in support of Request for Quotes (RFQ's) as directed using customary means.
  • Maintenance and analysis of weekly and monthly Purchasing reports.
  • Back-up Buyers as required for the Purchasing Department.
  • Business Systems expertise
  • knowledge of integrated ERP systems, understanding of systemic relationships to include forecasts; demand planning, MRP, Purchasing and Inventory Control.
