Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Operations (DO), with additional lead work direction from the Dean, the College Scheduler and Financial Analyst independently performs varied and specialized administrative, technical and analytical duties and provides day-to-day administration for the College of Humanities, Social Sciences and the Arts. Work involves participation in the development, alteration, implementation and evaluation of course scheduling, multi-semester course planning, enrollment reporting, and financial procedures and reporting, as well as supporting the academic unit's programs, policies and procedures. The incumbent independently plans and performs research, compiles data and prepares and presents reports with reliable conclusions and recommendations for action. The incumbent contributes to the completion of broad and more complex projects and goals, often providing project leadership or representing the College on key projects. Contacts involve interaction with all levels inside and outside the university, and may include dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Key Qualifications This position requires a bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs, plus two years of related experience. Knowledge of higher education administration with three years of experience working in an academic environment preferred. Advanced proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge of Google Suite and PeopleSoft preferred. Salary and Benefits This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period. The CSU Classification Step Range for this position is $5,274 - $7,684 per month (step 1 - step 20). Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience. Step placement upon appointment is not expected to exceed Step 4 ($5,597 a month). This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
