The ideal candidate will have previous surgery scheduling experience and feels confident hitting the ground running upon joining to immediately start scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in Spanish candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Schedule surgical procedures in coordination with surgeons, patients, and other healthcare staff. Review and verify patient documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. Maintain an organized schedule that accommodates both patient needs and surgical availability. Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-up appointments. Collaborate with front desk staff to manage patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts. Utilize electronic health records systems for documentation and scheduling tasks. Ensure compliance with health information management standards, including ICD-10 coding when necessary. Assist with rooming patients during office hours 3 times per week. Order office supplies and other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a surgery scheduler is required. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
