This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at connecting strategy to execution and coordinating complex initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders. The Program Operations Coordinator serves as a central operational and communication partner, helping align departments, volunteers, community partners, and leadership to ensure programs and events are delivered efficiently, safely, and with a strong client-centered focus. The ideal candidate brings strong operational judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to anticipate needs, assess risk, and navigate evolving priorities in fast-paced environments. This individual is collaborative, resourceful, highly attentive to detail, and comfortable working with all levels of staff and management. Success in this role requires the ability to connect the dots across systems, people, and processes while maintaining professionalism, adaptability, and initiative. Duties and responsibilities Key Focus Areas Food & Nutrition Program Coordination Large-Scale Event Logistics & Execution Community Engagement Support Cross-Departmental Coordination Operational Planning & Process Alignment Partner & Volunteer Coordination Core Responsibilities Lead and coordinate logistics for large-scale food distributions, community events, outreach activities, and partner initiatives. Translate high-level program priorities into coordinated execution plans, timelines, and operational strategies. Ensure programs and events are organized, well-communicated, and aligned across departments, volunteers, and community partners. Serve as a central coordination point across teams, helping connect communication, resources, and operational priorities. Anticipate operational needs, identify potential challenges, and proactively develop solutions to support successful outcomes. Assess evolving situations in real time and adapt plans as necessary to maintain continuity, responsiveness, and service quality. Support risk assessment, contingency planning, and operational decision-making for community programs and events. Coordinate with internal leadership and external partners to support collaborative planning and effective program execution. Utilize CRM platforms, tracking systems, and coordination tools to support planning, communication, reporting, and documentation efforts. Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen coordination systems, and enhance overall operational effectiveness across initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Services, Nonprofit Management, Business Operations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, operations, logistics, event management, or a related field in a nonprofit, public sector, or community-based organization Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives involving internal teams, volunteers, and external partners Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments Proven ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, timelines, and coordinated execution workflows Experience supporting or leading large-scale events, community programs, or direct service operations Proficiency with digital tools and systems for coordination, tracking, and reporting (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, project management platforms) Salary and Benefits The salary range is $55,600- $65,000 depending on education and experience.
