Job Description

Job Description A well‑established industrial manufacturing company is bringing on a Production Scheduler to support the shop during a planned transition and systems upgrade. This role is critical to maximizing machine utilization, meeting customer commitments, and aligning engineering, production, and project management. You will own the global shop schedule, allocating blocks of machine time across multiple work centers and sequencing jobs from station to station. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Engineering, and Senior Shop Staff to validate routings, estimate labor hours, and resolve scheduling conflicts. The scheduler will initially work within Airtable, with an upcoming transition to Genius ERP, and will be paired directly with the incumbent scheduler who is exiting—allowing for hands‑on knowledge transfer. This position plays a key role in keeping production moving efficiently and on time in a complex, high‑mix fabrication environment. This is a contract through the end of the year - we are asking that candidates only consider this role if they can commit to the full length of the contract. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the master production schedule across all shop machines
  • Allocate and adjust blocks of machine hours to maximize utilization
  • Review and validate engineering releases and routings before production
  • Partner with senior shop personnel to estimate labor and machine hours
  • Sequence jobs logically from station to station across the shop floor
  • Negotiate priorities and delivery dates with Project Managers when conflicts arise
  • Maintain and update schedules within Airtable; support migration to Genius ERP
  • Identify constraints, solve scheduling problems, and communicate changes clearly We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
