Why This Role Green Dot Labs is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Expeditor to support day-to-day operations within our Extraction department. This role is responsible for ensuring cannabis material is received, organized, prepared, and processed efficiently while maintaining strict quality, safety, and compliance standards throughout the extraction workflow. Working closely with the Extraction Supervisor and Lab team, the Expeditor supports pre-extraction preparation, post-extraction processing, equipment cleaning, inventory organization, and general laboratory operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing hands-on experience within a regulated cannabis extraction environment. What You'll Do Receive, organize, and manage incoming raw flower material for extraction operations Verify manifests and confirm material weights for accuracy Inspect incoming material and identify potential quality concerns such as pests, mold, contamination, or other defects Label, organize, and maintain freezer inventory Prepare cannabis material according to work orders and production schedules Carefully pack extraction columns in preparation for extraction runs Empty, clean, and prepare extraction columns following production activities Clean and sanitize laboratory glassware, equipment, and workspaces Dispose of green waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements Assist with inventory management, supply monitoring, and restocking activities Support opening and closing operational procedures, including documentation and waste tracking Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment Assist with equipment cleaning, basic maintenance activities, and troubleshooting support Follow all company SOPs, safety requirements, and research and development directives Support other departments as needed based on business demands What's In It for You Opportunity to work with one of the cannabis industry's leading premium brands Hands-on exposure to cannabis extraction and laboratory operations Experience working with advanced extraction equipment and production processes Collaborative team environment focused on quality, safety, and innovation Opportunities for growth within extraction and broader production operations What Makes You a Great Fit High school diploma or GED required; college experience preferred Strong interest in laboratory operations, extraction processes, and production environments Prior experience with extraction methods, equipment, or purging techniques preferred Previous experience working in a licensed extraction facility preferred Must have and maintain an active MED Badge Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Ability to identify equipment issues and communicate concerns appropriately Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Reliable transportation required Work Environment This role is primarily onsite in Boulder, CO and requires regular work within a cannabis extraction laboratory environment. The position typically follows a 40-hour workweek, with overtime opportunities based on operational needs and supervisor approval. The role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movement throughout the workday. Employees must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and work safely around extraction equipment, cannabis materials, cleaning chemicals, and cold-storage environments. Exposure to freezer temperatures is common. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, eye protection, respirators, hearing protection, and safety footwear, must be worn as required.
