We are currently seeking a Production Control Coordinator who will support the manufacturing operations by coordinating material availability and ensuring timely workflow within the optics production environment.
Main responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:
Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules for optics manufacturing based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
Material Coordination:
Track and manage the availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies required for optics production. Work with procurement and warehouse teams to prevent production delays.
Workflow Management:
Monitor production progress on the shop floor, identify bottlenecks, and communicate with relevant teams to optimise throughput.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate production data, including order status, inventory levels, and production metrics. Prepare daily/weekly reports for management review.
Quality and Compliance Support:
Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure production complies with specifications and regulatory standards. Assist in implementing corrective actions for production issues.
Communication and Coordination:
Serve as a liaison between production, engineering, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely resolution of issues.
Continuous Improvement :
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Basic knowledge of optics manufacturing processes and terminology is a plus. Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and ERP/MRP systems. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Pay Range:
$26.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on experience.
