Job Description
Construction SchedulerWestminster, COWe are a national contractor with over 30 billion in backlog. Many local projects but we also support other industrial construction throughout the region.
Pay - 120k-175k before bonus and depending on experiencePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to develop and maintain project schedules that drive timely delivery and cost-effective execution. The Scheduler will collaborate with project managers, planners, and field teams to produce accurate, risk aware schedules using Primavera P6 and standard scheduling practices. The role focuses on schedule creation, updates, analysis, and reporting to support project controls across construction projects of varying size and complexity.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 (or equivalent), ensuring accurate logic, durations, constraints, and resource assignments.
Work with project managers, planners, and subcontractors to gather activity information, sequence work, and incorporate milestones, procurement, and long lead items.
Produce baseline schedules, regular updates, and recovery/reforecast schedules; perform schedule logic checks and ensure alignment with contract requirements and project milestones.
Conduct schedule risk analysis and provide recommendations for mitigation, compression, or recovery to support project decision making.
Prepare and deliver clear schedule reports, lookahead schedules, and dashboards for weekly/monthly progress meetings and executive updates.
Track progress and maintain as built records; analyze variances between planned and actual progress and quantify impacts to completion dates and milestones.
Coordinate with cost control to align schedule changes with cost forecasts and change management processes.
Support claims and dispute resolution by providing schedule substantiation, time impact analyses, and historical schedule documentation.
Train and mentor project staff on scheduling tools, standards, and best practices to improve schedule quality and consistency across projects.
QualificationsProven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Scheduler or Planner on construction projects, with hands on use of Primavera P6.Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling, logic development, resource and cost loading, and schedule risk analysis.
Familiarity with construction means and methods, procurement cycles, and subcontractor coordination to produce realistic schedules.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with project controls/reporting tools and dashboards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present schedule information clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Detailoriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Experience supporting claims, time impact analyses, or dispute resolution is a plus; certifications in scheduling or project controls (e.g., PSP, PMI-SP) are advantageous.
