Job Summary:
Being an ambassador for our restaurant brand by playing a key role in contributing to the smooth operation of service with accurate and efficient coordination of guest tickets to prepare for delivery of quests menu selections aiding in facilitating a positive guests experience.
Job Description Functions and Competencies:
Coordination in receiving and organization of tickets with Head Chef. Accurately track ticket times and report on delays to Chefs Quality control of plated items for accuracy temperature, portion, plating and presentation before passed off to FOH staff. Coordination to ensure meals for a single table are ready simultaneously for each guest seated. Verify and check orders are accurate, matched to table and seat numbers for guest delivery. Verify and check orders from the Chefs are accurately prepared to Guest tickets. Ensure plated items meets restaurant presentation standards. Aware, attentive and ability to execute special requests from the FOH. Ability to execute directives from Guests tickets on allergies and follow kitchen protocols. Communicates, calls out and verifies special ticket requests were followed. Ability to explain dishes to FOH staff with the ingredients. Accurately pack and label take-out orders. Follow recipes to prepare sauces and condiments as directed. Communicate any item shortages to FOH and Chefs as needed. Support FOH as needed or directed. Communicate effectively with FOH staff and managers to ensure a smooth service. Interacts with all staff utilizing positive and appropriate language. Contact MOD and advise of any concerns advised of. Organized and attention to detail. Ability to remain standing for long periods. Ability to carry a variety of plates and trays, serving dishes within a multiple level restaurant to aid in delivery of menu items to tables. Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently. Assertiveness and ability to handle stressful situations. Keep designated stations clean and well stocked. Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities. Conduct oneself and perform all duties honestly, ethically and in the best interest of the business. Additional duties that may be assigned for the smooth operation of the shift,
Education and Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous expediter experience.
  • KDS System Experience highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
