The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental billing and coding, with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy and teeth numbers. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate billing processes, managing dental records, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and most importantly, maintaining a full schedule. Responsibilities Scheduling patients for both hygiene and operative appointments and ensuring that the schedule remains full. Managing cancellations and last minute no shows appropriately. Looking into future days and appts and ensuring schedule remains full. Process and manage dental billing and collections efficiently to ensure timely payments With both Medicaid and PPO insurances. Utilize
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes accurately for billing purposes. Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage and eligibility to facilitate accurate billing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, coding guidelines, and industry regulations. Work with Cloud based software systems to manage patient records and billing information. Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries. Resolve discrepancies in billing statements and follow up on outstanding payments. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to medical billing. Requirements Proven experience in dental billing, coding, or collections within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and other relevant coding systems. Strong understanding of dental terminology and dental office operations. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders in a professional manner. Prior experience in handling dental records is preferred. Certification in dental coding or billing is a plus but not required. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
