Operations Assistant Reports To:
Vice President, Waters Paving Purpose of Role:
Support the Vice President and operations team by coordinating administrative, operational, financial reporting, and project-related activities that improve efficiency, communication, and execution across the paving division. What Good Looks Like Maintains accurate records and documentation Tracks multiple priorities simultaneously Coordinates resources(labor, material, equipment and subcontractors) efficiently in a fast-paced environment Consistently follows through on commitments Professional verbal and written communication Comfortable interacting with crews, vendors, customers, and management Can communicate issues clearly and proactively Maintains confidentiality and professionalism Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) Comfortable learning construction software Creates reports, schedules, and spreadsheets Strong data-entry accuracy (HCSS) Anticipates problems before they occur Identifies solutions independently Improves processes rather than just maintaining them Resourceful and adaptable Understands scheduling, logistics, equipment, and project support Urgency and deadlines in construction operations Comfortable working with field personnel Attends meetings, assists with schedules, and meets deadlines effectively Tracks action items and follows up consistently Supports project and operational planning activities In-office and field support will be required with after-hours responsibilities Strong time management The Ideal Operations Assistant will: Become the primary administrative support resource for the Vice President of Waters Paving. Improve visibility into schedules, meetings, action items, and operational priorities. Maintain accurate operational reporting and documentation. Help coordinate communication between field operations, including the equipment manager and trucking manager. Demonstrate the Waters values of being Safe, Smart, Positive, Respectful, and Adaptable while helping the division operate more efficiently.
